Sam and Alexis have a romance we all dream about – boy moves in, boy breaks down, girl offers a ride – the rest is history!
Sam moved in across the street from Alexis and her family when they were finishing high school. They didn’t actually start dating then, even though Alexis definitely noticed the cute new neighbor next door. Foreshadowing, anyone?!
Alexis and her little sister would be outside in the front yard more and more, which was a sudden change in behavior according to their mother. This only made sense thanks to the boy across the street who just moved in – someone she would later find to be her son-in-law.
Sam is a country boy at heart, and was having his truck worked on at a mechanic shop very close to the school that Alexis was attending for college. Sam knew that Alexis normally went home for the weekend. So, he found a way to get her number and texted her to get a ride home for the weekend since she would be heading that way anyway.
It was sometime after that car ride home that the two decided to start dating, and it was all thanks to that truck. Skip to a few years later, Sam used that same truck as the setting for his sweet proposal to Alexis. It was the reason they were together to begin with so why not let it continue to be a beautiful and special place.
