Central Indiana September Wedding

Sam and Alexis| A Love Filled, Boho-Inspired Wedding

We previously met Sam and Alexis!  If you missed how these two met, you should check out their engagement session here.  You will be inspired by how a truck can play such a sweet role in a relationship.

The first thing to note is there is absolutely no denying the love that Sam and Alexis share for each other.  Their chemistry is palpable for everyone around them.  They are kind people filled with gratitude and love for their family and friends, but also know how to carve out some time for just one another.

Sam and Alexis were a little divided on the idea of a first look, as Sam wanted the first time he saw Alexis to be when she was walking down the aisle to become his wife.  Alexis knew that she wanted to have just a small amount of time carved out for just the two of them so that they could have a moment to breathe.  So, we landed on a first touch. Both Alexis and Sam got exactly what they wanted and it was magically special to witness.

The two wrote each other beautiful letters detailing their love for one another. With Sam standing towards the door, and Alexis the wall, they could hold hands, read their letters and still honor the day just as they both needed.

One of Sam’s best friend’s was not asked to be a groomsman, but the officiant.  What an honor!  He gave us some sweet stories, but mostly reminded everyone what the meaning of love was, and why we were there – to celebrate the undeniable love that Sam and Alexis have for each other. Just look at the way they look at each other!

To showcase their love and dedication to the people who showed up to support them on such a special day, Sam and Alexis opted to do something in between dinner and dancing – a photo dash.  Filled with laughter, love and so many fun memories Sam and Alexis were asked to a specific area, where table by table friends and family were invited to join the newlyweds for a photo-opt.  The running, jumping and all-around desire to celebrate was everywhere!

The two also made sure that the entire reception hall sang happy birthday to a good friend who let them borrow his day, complete with a surprise cake just for him.  What a beautiful way to show their love for the people in their lives!

Instead of cake, the couple opted for a dessert table complete with family recipes made by their guests.  They asked for each recipe to be denoted onto a recipe card so the couple could reminisce on the dishes and make the desserts in the future.
