We have another beautiful summer family photo session for you guys. These photos are swoon-worthy thanks to the beautiful family and gorgeous backdrop of Flat Fork Park! Everyone, meet the Spicer family. We had so much fun getting to know and work with this family although the day was hot and the sun was out, everyone made the best of the time we had. Look at those twirls! These ladies killed it.
This was not your average family session, though. It was an extended family session. Extended family photo sessions are such a fun time as there are so many different relationships to photograph. While the heatwave was in full-effect in Indiana, the main goal was to get photos of the whole family while all the family was in town together. They did an incredible job picking a color palette that flattered everyone and looked seamless together. The different color blues and tans are just so perfect. If ever you were looking for outfit inspiration for family photos we have them here. These are outfit goals you guys!
We met at Flat Fork Park in Nobesville, Indiana. Naturally, we started in the shade on the bridge for the best lighting and to cool down just a little. (It really was so hot that you sweat on the walk over). One of our favorite things to do is for each of us to take photos from different vantage points. This gives our clients so much variety for the timeframe in which we are photographing. We love being able to capture our clients from different angles and getting the sweetest glimpses of the relationships around us.
It doesn't take much to see that the Spicer Family is full of so much love for one another. The "boys" were so willing and excited to take photos with Mom, and the ladies had just as much fun "bumping hips" and laughing together. We love to capture the love we see, and with the Spicer Family that didn't take long at all to capture.
The family came with a few ideas up their sleeve too, which just makes sessions so much fun. We love making sure that our families get exactly what they are looking for through the imagery we capture.
We had so much fun with bubbles and playing that it was hard to move on from one area to the next. The littlest member of the family was just so much fun and had personality for days. The whole family was in on making sure the experience was a fun time too.
Once we moved down from the bridge, we went back to a favorite of ours near a tree alcove. We were able to get some of just Dad and Sons, as well as some sweet couples photos. We had one larger extended family present with three family units in total. Having time and space to get a few photos of Mom with her daughters-in-law, Dad with sons, and couples with no kiddos was so nice for each couple.
We hope you love these as much as we do, and that this session gives you all the inspiration for family photos!
