The Origin Story
Originally from Indiana, Brittany moved to Vegas for some adventure where she and her sweet little girl met their guy, Kevin. That’s where our story begins. Kevin is an avid seeker of fun and adventure, and Brittany by trade instructs teachers how to teach reading skills. Cool, right?!
Kevin started his adventure-seeking by riding dirt bikes. He loved to catch air and just enjoyed the speed – we saw a father and son practicing on a dirt mound and the little lady loved reminding him that he used to do that too. From dirt bikes, Kevin moved on to rock climbing where he met his future bride. He loved finding new, challenging places to climb and got a thrill out of getting to the top of the next peak. Nowadays, Kevin is in flight school because in his words he “wants to get higher and higher”.
Brittany has an adventurous and sweet, nurturing spirit. While in Vegas, she wanted to learn about climbing, rock climbing, that is. (If you guessed this is our meet-cute, you are right). This is where Kevin and Brittany met. Kevin was Brittany’s climbing instructor, and from the sounds of their tales, they loved being together and climbing some of the wildest peaks in Red Rock Canyon. They even took the littlest member of the family with them. It’s safe to say that these two really enjoy new experiences and finding things to do together.

Brittany really enjoys trying new things, which is how we met her. She runs an instagram page called indy.family.fun geared towards families in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. She provides some really fun options for families to do together like upcoming events, restaurants to eat at, places to visit and experiences like cooking classes for children.
When Brittany originally started to share on Instagram it was actually on her personal page. She was trying to convince Kevin that there were things to do and adventures to find in and around Indianapolis. It was her own personal project designed just to help her new husband fall in love with her home state. Until a friend reached out to her to tell her she was really posting helpful information. A few months later, Brittany had another acquaintance reach out to her saying she really could do the social media thing for a living.
It took some thought, but after a while she decided that she really should give the content creator thing a shot. Bringing us @indy.family.fun on Instagram. Honestly, we are watching her stories to find new things to do now too. She is incredibly talented!
Our little lady is incredibly fun and intelligent. She has been reading since she was just two! Now, she is a huge fan of reading every night before she goes to bed for at least 30 minutes or until she falls asleep. This little girl is reading chapter books at six! She is incredibly fun to be around too. Her love for nature knows no bounds. She was running to find berries, had no problem playing in wild flowers and had her eye on a couple trees she could climb. We even convinced her to get into the falls with us for a couple of photos and it was cold.
This family was such a joy to photograph and was willing to be adventurous with us. The coolest thing is that both Kevin and Brittany have experience and interest in photography, yet these are their very first set of family photos. We hope they bring you all many joyous memories to come!
